Why Is the Hijab Denied Access to Turbans and Bangles?’ The Karnataka High Court is being petitioned, said the petitioners

On Wednesday, the petitioners’ counsel told the Karnataka High Court that the government’s targeting of Muslim women for wearing headscarves is an instance of “hostile discrimination.” Pre-university students in the state are not required to wear the hijab, hence there is no regulation preventing it.
Discrimination against hijabi Muslim women because of their faith was forbidden under Article 15 since there were no state-mandated uniforms to enforce this policy.
