Seven people were killed in an explosion at a firework factory in Himachal’s Una district
On Tuesday, seven persons were murdered, and ten were seriously burned in an explosion at a facility in Himachal Pradesh’s Una area where firecrackers were reportedly being manufactured illegally.
At about 11.30 a.m., a large explosion was reported in the industrial area, and seven workers in the unit were discovered burnt to death.
Ten people, including women, who worked in the plant, were severely burned and were transferred to Una Civil Hospital.
According to reports, the firework team was operating out of a privately leased facility.
According to Anshul Dhiman, GM, industry, Una, the facility was not registered with the industries department.
According to sources, the persons in charge of the unit did not have an explosives license.
The Prime Minister expresses his condolences and promises financial assistance.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared Rs 2 lakh in compensation for the next of kin of those killed in the tragedy.
The Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) would provide Rs 2 lakh apiece to the next of kin of those killed in the Himachal Pradesh manufacturing accident. “The wounded will be paid Rs. 50,000,” the prime minister declared on Twitter.
Modi also expressed his condolences for the deaths caused by the blast.
