Russia Declares Willingness to Maintain Communication During Ukraine Conflict: US Involved

Russia says it will continue diplomatic talks with the West in order to avoid a security scenario in which it has amassed a big force near Ukraine.
On Monday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that there was always the possibility of striking an agreement with the West on Ukraine.
He reassured Putin that meetings with European and American leaders gave optimism for progress on Russia’s goals.
“I recommend continuing,” Lavrov said on television. “OK,” Putin said.
Lavrov told Putin that the United States had taken genuine steps to decrease military threats, but that NATO and the European Union had not reacted sufficiently.
‘Whether these are actual discussions or just a postponement of the invasion that (Putin) has indicated he may launch,’ said Stephen Nix of the International Republican Institute in Washington, DC.
Because of the “dramatic intensification of Russian soldiers’ buildup,” the US said on Monday that it would temporarily relocate its embassy in Kyiv to Lviv, near the Polish border.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the US would continue to press for a diplomatic solution.
