Bikram Majithia has been placed in judicial detention in connection with a narcotics case

Majithia had previously appeared before the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Sandeep Kumar Singla.

Senior attorneys, advocate Cheema and HS Dhanoa, joined him.

At 10.30 a.m., Majithia arrived at the court complex.

He informed the journalists that he had gone to the court to comply with the Supreme Court’s orders.

Majithia was ordered to surrender before the trial court following the Punjab Assembly elections on February 20 by a bench that included Chief Justices NV Ramana, Justices AS Bopanna, and Hima Kohli. His provisional bail was set to expire on Wednesday night.

The judge permitted the Special Investigation Team to question Majithia in the court complex for almost an hour.
